UNIT4 Announces New Products to Optimize Business Change

UNIT4 has announced that it will be releasing new software products, partner plug-ins and cloud deployment options for both its Agresso Business World ERP solution and its Coda financials software line over the next two years. The company will use these products to promote a new global technology strategy called “Independence,” whose goal is to help corporate and government agencies convert business change into business opportunity.

UNIT4 is a leading provider of enterprise resource planning (ERP) and financial management software for fast changing organizations. Over 6000 customers use its Agresso and Coda software solutions in more than 100 countries.  These solutions are geared towards “Businesses Living IN Change” or BLINC, as the company calls them.

As part of the Independence strategy, UNIT4 plans three key product announcements:

  • A new cloud deployment option for Coda Financials, called “Coda Cloud Rebel”
  • A cutting-edge product release roadmap for the Agresso Business World ERP line, called “Route 66”
  • A new BLINC e-learning partner plug-in for both the Agresso and Coda Financials products, named “Topaz,” which will be a part of UNIT4’s next-generation compatibility program, “Color Your App”

The Independence strategy builds on Agresso’s Vita post-implementation change capabilities, as well as the interoperability strength of Coda’s Link architecture.  The Agresso Vita architecture provides business users the ability to easily perform needed ERP software changes without IT support as often as necessary after the initial installation. Coda’s Link architecture allows companies the freedom of choice to combine Coda’s best-of-class financials with superior interoperability to other best-of-class solutions, from specialist software packages to in-house developments. The new Cloud Rebel deployment option will give even more freedom of choice to its customers.

The three product announcements address the growing dissatisfaction of enterprise software buyers who do not want to risk their entire business success on the “all or nothing” approaches of ERP titans Oracle and SAP. “Software buyers’ past experiences with these companies has clearly shown that changing circumstances–such as merger/acquisition activities, new financial/tax regulations, reorganizations/restructurings, etc.–are not healthy experiences for customers on other ERP architectures.” said Ton Dobbe, UNIT4’s head of global product strategy and product marketing. For this reason, UNIT4’s license revenue is growing faster than market giants like Oracle and SAP. With its new Independence strategy, UNIT4’s competitive will continue to widen.
