CDC Software unveils new PLM module with ERP integration

CDC Software Corporation, an enterprise software provider of on-premise and cloud deployments, recently unveiled a new Product Lifecycle Management Module for CDC Ross Enterprise (Ross PLM). The module based on the DevEX PLM platform from Selerant software, helps process manufacturers to improve the efficiency of their business process. They can manage their entire product lifecycle with ease. For instance with the PLM module, manufacturers can now shorten their time to market, facilitate product compliance, increase productivity, profitability and reduce costs. Although the module is based on the DevEX PLM platform, it will be sold to Ross customers as Ross PLM. This is the first time Selerant and CDC have come together to introduce a PLM functionality.

Further, the integration of DevEX product with the Ross ERP platform enables customers to sync data with Ross ERP and Ross PLM. This makes it easier for manufacturers to access and merge data. This is ideal for calculating formula costs, profitability, etc. It also allows users to share product drawings.

Commenting on CDC software and Ross ERP and PLM module, John shaw, Litehouse’s director of information technology and purchasing said, “As a food manufacturer, we face a demanding business and regulatory environment. We expect Ross PLM will help us directly address those unique challenges.”

Challenging as the food regulation business is, the PLM module hosts a whole bunch of features, which makes tasks like nutrition labeling, ingredients labeling and generation of region-specific regulatory documentation, a breeze. Using the various tools offered by the module food manufacturers can now create new recipes or modify existing ones and manage formula or recipe components.

From new product development, product portfolio management to product packaging design, Ross PLM module has it all. It’s a one stop guide to all the product management tools and features required by process manufacturers.
