Oracle Named Order Management Hub Leader

Forrester Research, the independent research analyst, recently released its Forrester Wave for Quarter 3, 2010. Oracle, the integrated business software provider, was named a leader in the Order Management Hubs (OMH) report.

Eight vendors were examined across 122 criteria points. Forrester divided the criteria into three categories, Current Offering, Market Presence and Strategy. The vendors were evaluated on these three things. Oracle’s E-Business Suite 12.1 was given top honors by Forrester in the evaluation of order management hubs. Oracle’s suite received the top mark in product strategy, the highest marks in overall product vision and scored highly for presentation framework categories. In addition, Oracle’s Siebel CRM was named one of the top products in the presentation categories and the best solution in data and infrastructure.

Forrester Research’s report says, “Oracle delivers a rich go-to-market strategy for Oracle E-Business Suite with a significant majority of customer references providing a positive feedback on the overall solution.” The report went on to say, “Rich support for inbound order channels, opportunity to order capture, and data and infrastructure capabilities returned Oracle Siebel to the Leaders’ band.”

The Senior Director for Product Strategy at Oracle, Jennifer Sherman, commented. She said, “It is becoming increasing difficult to efficiently and effectively manage the delivery of sales orders in a way that meets customer, partner and supplier expectations. We believe that Forrester’s positioning of Oracle as the market leader reflects our commitment to helping customers manage this complex process and our continued success in supporting both end-to-end ordering processes and order hub infrastructures.”

Overall, Oracle did exceedingly well this quarter according to Forrester Research and Oracle’s customers, who rated Oracle very highly.
