Redwood Shores, Calif. (February 20, 2009) –

Compiere, Inc., the global leader in open source business solutions, has announced that French postal operator La Poste selected the company’s open source ERP solution to replace internal systems that support their postal outlets. La Poste is a French-based global postal processing organization with EUR20 (US $27B) billion in revenue, 300,000 employees, and 45 million customers. The postal operator will deploy Compiere Professional, a commercial open source ERP solution, within a Business-to-Business division, to replace existing sales, purchasing, inventory, and payment processing systems. Compiere ERP was selected based on its flexibility, ability to integrate with existing systems and to provide a better return on investment. Axilom, a Compiere Gold Partner in France, is responsible for delivering the solution.

“Open source’s flexibility, functionality and affordability are key factors today for organizations evaluating enterprise technology investments, which they expect will deliver maximum benefits with minimal cost of ownership,” said Don Klaiss, president and CEO of Compiere. “We’re proud to be an integral part in helping large, global organizations around the world, such as La Poste, improve customer service while streamlining related business processes.”
