Intacct CEO Recognized as Industry Leader

Mike Braun named to Accounting Today Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting List for Third Straight Year

SAN JOSE, Calif. (September 21, 2009) –

Intacct, a leader in cloud financial management and accounting applications, today announced that Accounting Today has named Intacct president and CEO Mike Braun to its “2009 Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting” list. The Top 100 was created to recognize leaders who bring their experience and authority to the advancement of the accounting profession. This is the third year in a row that Mike has joined this elite group, which this year also includes President Barack Obama, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, U.S Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner and Robert Herz, Chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Board.

Accounting Today notes, “Braun has led ‘cloud computing’ developer Intacct from strength to strength, including a remarkable alliance with the AICPA that makes Intacct its ‘preferred provider’ of financial applications to its more than 350,000 members.” This groundbreaking alliance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), one of the nation’s oldest and largest industry associations, marked the first time the Institute had recommended a cloud computing vendor of core financial applications to its members.

Under Mike Braun’s leadership, Intacct’s cloud financial applications are helping to revolutionize and modernize the accounting profession. With Intacct, CPAs have a single, web-based system that can serve clients of different sizes, industries and across geographies, as well as deliver offerings ranging from financial statement preparation to outsourced accounting and CFO services. Using Intacct’s cloud accounting applications significantly reduces travel, gives CPA firm staff the flexibility to work remotely, and substantially lowers information technology expenses – all important items in a tight economy.

Intacct continues to achieve increased influence in the marketplace under Mike’s leadership, as reflected in the company’s strong growth figures – Intacct subscription revenues grew by more than 50% in the past fiscal year, despite the down economy. In addition, the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA) recently named Intacct the winner of its prestigious 2009 CODiE Award for Best Financial Software Solution.

The Accounting Today “Top 100 Most Influential People” list includes CPAs, attorneys, regulators, educators and vendors who exemplify leadership and influence in the accounting field. Each year, the publication’s editorial staff reviews a list of hundreds of potential candidates and ultimately chooses the Top 100. Intacct partners included in the list include Erik Asgeirsson, CEO of CPA2Biz; Rene Lacerte, CEO of Bill.com; Barry Melacon, AICPA President and CEO; Rory Rawlings, founder and Chief Tax Automation Officer at Avalara; and Gary Shamis, managing director of SS&G Financial Services.

An e-book on the Top 100 list will be available for download at www.webcpa.com by the end of September.
