IBM To Ship DB2 Universal Database With Netfinity Servers
SOMERS, N.Y (May 26, 1998) – IBM today announced that free trial code of its award-winning DB2* Universal Database for Windows NT** will be packaged with IBM Netfinity* 3500, 5500 and 7000 servers. The package will allow users of Netfinity Intel**-based servers to test DB2 Universal Database — the industry’s first fully scalable, Web-ready database management system — free of charge for 60 days.
At the conclusion of the trial period, users can choose to convert to a new license. In addition, customers today can obtain a free trial CD or download a free trial copy of DB2 Universal Database for Windows NT by visiting http://software.ibm.com.data/db2/udb.
IBM will also offer business intelligence solutions and consulting services for DB2 Universal Database and Netfinity servers.
