Deltek Insight 2010 A Resounding Success

New product releases, executive keynote presentations, and first annual “govWin Business Discovery Day” highlight Insight 2010 program

National Harbor, MD (May 20, 2010) –

Deltek, Inc. (Nasdaq: PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software and solutions for project-focused businesses, today concluded its annual Insight Conference near Washington, DC, and announced plans to hold next year’s conference at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel & Convention Center located in Nashville, TN.

Insight 2010 featured approximately 3,000 attendees representing hundreds of individual organizations. Representatives from small, project-based firms to large, multi-national organizations came together at Insight to share ideas, learn best practices, network with colleagues, and attend educational sessions on Deltek’s portfolio of project-based software solutions. In addition, executives from government contracting firms arrived at the conference to take part in Deltek’s unique “govWin Business Discovery Day” that was new to this year’s program.

At Insight 2010, Deltek announced innovative products across all of its major product lines and target markets. The notable announcements included the release of Costpoint Budgeting & Planning and GCS Premier Budgeting & Planning, and the upcoming releases of Vision Connect for Microsoft Outlook, Costpoint CRM Connect for Microsoft Outlook, and Deltek Mobile Time – all scheduled to be released in June 2010. In addition, Deltek also previewed several new products that are targeted for release within the next year including Deltek Costpoint 7 and Deltek’s new project management dashboard built specifically to meet the needs of control account managers (CAMs).

The first full day of the conference featured keynote addresses from Kevin Parker, President and CEO of Deltek, and humor columnist Dave Barry. The schedule on Tuesday also included presentations by Robert Fecteau, Chief Information Officer at BAE Systems Information Solutions. Mr. Fecteau outlined the tangible impacts that leaders can make on their organizations by improving key business processes, such as the automation of time collection activities. Bob Gillcrist, Senior Vice President and Director of Project Management at HOK, also spoke during general session and highlighted HOK’s successful delivery of the KAUST project, a Graduate University built in Saudi Arabia. Larry LeMaster, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at HKS, described how his company successfully designed and delivered the recently opened Dallas Cowboys Stadium, one of the most expensive sports stadiums ever built.

After the general session on Tuesday, the “govWin Business Discovery Day” occurred in parallel with the rest of the Insight program. This unique event provided an opportunity for smaller government contractors to hold pre-qualified, one-on-one meetings with large prime contractors. Leveraging govWin.com’s proprietary matching tool, small businesses used the opportunity to pair up with large contractors for 10-minute meet-and-greet appointments. Participating prime contractors included CACI, Lockheed Martin, Serco, Unisys, VSE Corporation and more.

During the show, attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Insight Expo where over 30 leading companies, including Aronson & Company, IBM, and Lumigent displayed their solutions to the thousands of registrants in attendance.

“Each year, we take great pride in hosting an event that is always the largest gathering of project-focused professionals in the world,” said Bill Clark, CMO and Executive Vice President at Deltek. “Insight 2010 featured our largest and most comprehensive program in the event’s history. With over 370 breakout sessions, over 30 industry-leaders exhibiting at our Insight Expo, and our signature ‘govWin Business Discovery Day’, Insight 2010 offered an unparalleled opportunity for project-focused organizations to improve their organizations. Deltek graciously thanks our sponsors, our compelling lineup of speakers, and the thousands of attendees that made Insight 2010 another world-class event.”
