Redwood Shores, Calif. (October 07, 2009) –

Compiere, Inc., the global leader in open source and Cloud-based ERP solutions, today announced the availability of Compiere Enterprise Edition, which enables companies to deploy Compiere ERP on multi-server configurations and accommodate hundreds of concurrent users with large transaction volumes. The new multi-server support is designed for growing organizations that need a more sophisticated enterprise-class solution that is modern, highly adaptable, scalable and affordable. Compiere also announced upgrades to its Professional and Standard Edition products as part of Compiere’s new 3.5 release.

Compiere Enterprise provides robust ERP functionality by enhancing Compiere’s data analysis and integration capabilities through new management dashboards, a visual dictionary editor and web services support that provide additional high-value productivity tools for both end-user and IT organizations. The role-based management dashboards contain an intuitive graphical representation of data through multiple charts and graphs and enable users to easily customize and create new dashboards without programming. Utilizing a new “drag and drop” workbench, changes to applications can be easily made using a modern Visual Dictionary Editor, such as reconfiguring screen layouts, changing field types and business logic.

Compiere Enterprise’s new patent-pending web services support enables easy integration between Compiere and other application programs, and was used to develop the new Compiere ERP Connector for Salesforce.com. Compiere’s web services enable communication and data transfer through a state-of-the-art representational state transfer (REST) protocol.

“The Enterprise Edition expands our product portfolio for organizations of all sizes,” said Don Klaiss, Compiere’s president and CEO. “These additional capabilities demonstrate our commitment to continue to deliver a robust and affordable ERP system that meets the business needs and budget of any size company.”

Compiere also announced the release of Compiere 3.5 with numerous functionality improvements that are available in its Enterprise, Standard and Professional Edition products. Compiere 3.5 contains nearly 100 enhancements as well as new financial reporting capabilities. Users can now automatically generate pre-built reports such as income statements and balance sheets without going through the normal report definition process.
