COMPIERE OPENS INTERNATIONAL SUBSIDIARY; EXPANDS EXECUTIVE TEAM TO SUPPORT INCREASED PRODUCT DEMAND

Leadership Team with Strong Enterprise Software Heritage to Manage Growth of Market Leading Open Source Business Applications Provider

Santa Clara, California (April 16, 2007) – Compiere, Inc., the leading provider of open source business applications, today announced the opening of a new subsidiary, Germany-based Compiere EMEA GmbH, to serve the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) markets, along with the appointment of four key executives. The announcement comes as the company experiences strong global demand for adaptable open source enterprise applications backed by a reliable vendor and local service delivery. Today’s appointments include Yves Sandfort, general manager of Compiere EMEA GmbH; Kyle Rosier, director of sales for the Americas; Hemant ‘Sunny’ Gosain, vice president of development and customer support; and Bill Freedman, director of marketing.

From offices in Germany, Compiere EMEA GmbH will focus on sales, support and solution delivery for Compiere’s channel partners and customers throughout the EMEA region. The company has assembled a robust ecosystem of partners to provide sales and services to Compiere users, including more than 20 authorized partners within the company’s EMEA partner network. As general manager of Compiere EMEA, Yves Sandfort will lead efforts to further increase Compiere’s reach and the productivity of its partner network across the region.

Kyle Rosier serves as Sandfort’s counterpart for the Americas region. As director of sales for the Americas, Rosier will oversee channel activities and lead direct sales in the Americas from Compiere’s California-based headquarters.

As vice president of development and customer support, Sunny Gosain has global responsibility for product development, customer support and information technology. Most recently, Gosain served as a vice president in Oracle Corporation’s Applications division, where he was responsible for introducing new product lines for supply chain management and asset management. Earlier in his career, Gosain held positions as an IT project leader and ERP implementation consultant.

Bill Freedman rounds out the expanded management team as director of marketing. Freedman will lead outbound marketing efforts globally, including lead generation programs, positioning and branding, media and industry analyst relations and e-marketing.

Sandfort, Rosier, Gosain and Freedman join Compiere’s newly appointed president and CEO, Don Klaiss, and founders Jorg Janke and Kathy Pink, creating a diverse management team with strong experience in building enterprise software businesses. The pedigrees of the new team members include leading enterprise software and open source companies Oracle, MCI Systemhouse, Agile Software, Scalix, Solomon Software and ComDivision, among others.
