Compiere Gives Sneak Preview of Collaboration Management System at Training Sessions in Bonn, Germany

Portland, Oregon (April 11, 2006) – Compiere, Inc., the premier provider of open source ERP and CRM applications, announced a sneak preview of its new Collaboration Management System at the intensive and technical training sessions in Bonn, Germany. The intensive training session is from May 15 to 19, while the technical training session will run from May 22 to 24. Delivered in English, the sessions will be hosted by Compiere Founders, Jorg Janke and Kathy Pink. During these sessions, attendees will preview the next product development for Compiere, an integrated Collaboration Management System.

The new Collaboration Management System is designed to enable users to communicate throughout multiple environments. For example, users can discuss sales forecasts in a secure environment and determine how best to proceed with a sales offer based on structured data. It will incorporate Compiere’s attachment, issue tracking and follow up capabilities into a high-performance content management system to address the internal collaboration needs of businesses worldwide.

Jorg Janke, Compiere founder, said, “ERP systems traditionally concentrate on structured data — entry, processing and reporting — but this is only one side of the corporate financial and business processes. Compiere’s Collaboration Management System is designed to incorporate real-time communication into the structured data process allowing for collaborative discussions and interactive teamwork.”

The intensive training is a five-day session that provides hands-on training to systems integrators, value added resellers, and senior IT managers who are interested in installing, customizing, and providing support for the Compiere solution. This session focuses on functionality and encourages a high-level of attendee participation. The content-rich session includes a rapid deployment technique that enables customers to have Compiere ERP & CRM in production in as little as two weeks. For those familiar with the Compiere application, the technical training focuses on customizations and extensions to meet the specific needs of customers.
