Bennett International Group Streamlines New Manufacturing Operations With Intuitive ERP Software
Software from Consona Will Maximize Efficiency of New Ventureâ??s Internal and Customer-Facing Processes, and Provide Scalability for National Growth.

Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services for companies of all sizes, today announced that global transportation company Bennett International Group has selected Intuitive ERP to streamline operations for its new manufacturing venture, Bennett Building Systems. Initially drawn to its functionality and ease of use, Bennett International Group expects the software to maximize the efficiency of the new company’s business processes and scale for future growth.
In August 2007, Bennett International Group made its first foray into manufacturing with a new venture, Bennett Building Systems. A manufacturer of portable storage buildings, Bennett Building Systems’ production began in July 2008 out of its Tennille, Ga. factory. Parent company Bennett International quickly realized its current solution could not support its new manufacturing company’s needs and was looking to find a better fit.
For Bennett Building Systems, Intuitive provided the best solution to improve productivity and reduce costs. It will enable end-to-end efficiency — from the point of ordering materials to finding and tracking inventory until the point of sale — which translates to cost-effective business processes. Danny Lowry, president of Bennett Building Systems, says the software’s back-office architecture also proved a perfect fit for the operation. “We were especially impressed with Intuitive’s ease of use and its functionality,” said Lowry. “Equally important was its ability to integrate with Oracle Financials, which is the application we use in our McDonough, Ga. corporate office.”
Future use of Intuitive ERP’s configurator module was of particular importance to Bennett Building Systems and its goals. With the configurator in place, customers will be able to customize a product to their needs via an interactive website, get an accurate price and order it directly. Eventually, configurator use will expand to internal sales and independent distributors.
Lowry said there are plans to maximize Intuitive’s use further, specifically relating to its RFID capabilities, as the company would like to use RFID for finished goods. “We felt that Intuitive presented a good opportunity for success in RFID,” said Lowry.
Additional features and functionality also played into future plans for Bennett Building Systems. Since the company’s sales and purchasing groups must interface with suppliers and vendors, the software’s integrated CRM functionality will provide a tighter handle on centralizing sales and purchasing information. Similarly, the Executive Dashboard feature powered by QlickTech will ensure that the factory in Tennille, the corporate office in McDonough and the sales teams in Douglas, Ga. all have access to the same current information.
