ANDRE BOISVERT JOINS COMPIERE TEAM

Compiere Names Andre Boisvert as Chairman of the Board and Chief Business Development Officer

Bonn, Germany and Portland, Oregon (May 22, 2006) – Compiere, Inc., the premier provider of open source business applications, announced today during its worldwide partner event in Bonn, Germany, that Andre M. Boisvert has been named Chairman of the Board and Chief Business Development Officer. In this role, Boisvert will grow and develop the global Compiere partner network.

Jorg Janke, founder and CEO of Compiere, said, “We are delighted to have someone of Andre’s caliber joining our team. Andre’s experience in successfully applying the open source business model to markets traditionally monopolized by proprietary software vendors is definitely a plus, not only for Compiere, but also for our more than 70 partners worldwide”.

Boisvert has been in the technology field for nearly 30 years. He started his career with IBM in 1976. During his 13 years at IBM, Boisvert held senior management positions in sales, marketing and R& D. After IBM, Boisvert held executive positions in some of the most respected software companies in the industry, such as Cognos Corporation and Oracle Corporation where he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and a member of Oracle’s Management committee.

In 2000, Boisvert became President and COO, SAS Institute Inc., the world’s largest privately held software company with revenues exceeding $1.5 billion annually. In 2003, Boisvert followed one of SAS’ investments and became Chairman and CEO of Sagent Technologies (NASDQ: SGNT). In April of 2004, Boisvert successfully completed the sale of Sagent Technologies Inc. to Group 1 Software Inc. (NASDAQ: GSOF)

In October 2004, Boisvert co-founded Pentaho Corporation, the leading open source business intelligence company. In addition to serving as Pentaho’s Chairman, Boisvert is currently a director of SlickEdit Inc., Dynamics Direct Inc., Palamida Corporation, UBmatrix Inc. and VA Software Inc. (NASDQ: LNUX).
