Sage Peachtree 2011 Helps Nonprofits Manage More With Less

New features make it easier to handle administrative tasks so organizations can focus where it’s needed most

Atlanta , GA (May 27, 2010) – Sage North America today announced the general availability of the Sage Peachtree 2011 industry-specific products, including Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits, following the company’s announcement last week of Sage Peachtree Quantum 2011 and the rest of the Sage Peachtree 2011 line.

“Many organizations are struggling to do more with less. With fewer employees on staff and fewer financial resources, nonprofits must maximize both, all while carefully maintaining accountability to donors,” said Connie Certusi, general manager, small business accounting solutions, Sage North America. “Sage Peachtree 2011 is easier to use than ever, enabling nonprofits to get the critical information that they need and complete key tasks quickly, so they can focus instead on serving the communities and organizations that rely on them for support.”

Sage Peachtree for Nonprofits 2011 extends far beyond basic accounting, bringing nonprofits enhanced capabilities for more effective organizational management. Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Nonprofits and Sage Peachtree Quantum combine a range of helpful features with the solid accounting and strong organizational reporting features for which Sage Peachtree is known.

Sage Peachtree 2011 handily simplifies mundane tasks so that organizations can get more work done faster, increasing efficiency with an easier installation process and a Setup Advisor that automatically displays related instructions, descriptions, and links for assistance. The guide can be turned on or off for each user, ideal for organizations with volunteers who occasionally use the system and need assistance. As with previous releases of Peachtree, small nonprofits continue to get true double-entry accounting and analysis tools, along with nonprofit-specific reports and templates for fundraising and donor relations.

New project status indicators provide visual red/yellow/green “stoplights” for easy identification of projects, tasks, or campaigns that are on or off track, and are completely customizable to suit the needs of individual organizations. Nonprofits can easily delete, rename, or change the color-coded stoplight button attached to each status, with virtually unlimited status types, for easy monitoring.

Also available is Sage Peachtree Quantum 2011, the most comprehensive application in the product line. Through the new Project Management Center available exclusively in Sage Peachtree Quantum, organizations can proactively manage projects with fast access to project-related information in one centralized place. A second tab in the Jobs Navigation Center provides a customizable dashboard view of information per job, perfect for managing projects or campaigns and providing reports to boards or donors.

Sage Peachtree Quantum offers organizations the simplicity of an integrated accounting solution, with unrivalled performance and unmatched capacity in its class: twice as fast for transaction saves and report generation than its nearest competitor, and with capacity for up to 40 named users.

For those nonprofits that need more accounting functionality than Sage Peachtree can provide, Sage offers Sage MIP Fund Accounting. The company recently introduced a new flexible fundraising and event management connected service for nonprofits of all sizes. Delivered as a Software as a Service (SaaS), Sage Fundraising Online allows nonprofit organizations to more effectively use the Internet to increase giving, participation, and overall support through online donations and registrations. Sage works to ensure nonprofit organizations have familiar and affordable options to support their long term goals.
