Infor Acquires Data Collection Firm Bridgelogix

Infor, a mid-sized company ERP software vendor, has acquired Bridelogix. Details about the Infor deal with the Oklahoma-based Bridelogix were not disclosed. Bridelogix is a private company that provides barcode data collection technologies for warehouse, inventory and asset management software applications.

The ERP Company has been on a shopping spree in the last decade with over 20 application vendor acquisitions. The company now has over 70,000 clients with more than half being midsized companies with $50 million and $1 billion in revenue.

Infor plans to leverage Bridelogix technology to bolster their ERP software suite. Bridelogix data collection tool is already integrated with Infor’s warehouse management software system as part of a partnership agreement. Infor plans to integrate the solution into their other ERP systems soon.

Infor’s decision to acquire Bridelogix stemmed from a plan to optimize Infor’s enterprise asset management (EAM) software. Infor thought that bar code scanning would be a good fit for their EAM system, a growing market for the company. Infor’s EAM software helps manufacturers, distributors and service organizations with tracking equipment, maintenance activities, employee productivity and warranty-related issues.
