ERP Software Improves Business for Symetrics

Defense systems provider, Symetrics Industries was facing productivity problems within its business. With a lack of efficiency in the production of its products, Symetrics was struggling to achieve robust profit margins and maintain its competitive edge. With these challenges threatening the health of the organization, Symetrics needed to make a change.

To improve its business processes and drive toward more efficient operation, Symetrics implemented an enterprise resource planning (ERP) software platform. With a variety of aerospace and defense clients to serve throughout the world, Symetrics needed a streamlined approach to internal processes to be sure it could meet demand.

With the implementation of the ERP platform in November of 2008, Symetrics was able to bring a whole new focus to its internal operations. And, as a result, the company has been able to drive 67 percent revenue growth since that time.

Symetrics has also reported that the ERP software has enabled it to streamline its manufacturing activities in order to become more responsive to daily changes. At the same time, the company can maintain its ability to deliver products on time, strengthening its overall position in the market.

Operations director for Symetrics, Peter Volkert, noted that the firm has benefitted immensely from the improved transparency that the ERP platform provides. As a result, all users can easily access data on production progress to make better decisions and improve time to market on new products.

Volkert highlighted that with better information delivered on a more consistent basis, the company commits fewer mistakes and wastes less time, money and material. To achieve such benefits, ERP implementation must be properly planned and effectively executed.
