Epicor ERP Solution Will Be Implemented at Lamprell
On Tuesday, Epicor Software, a leading enterprise business software solutions provider, announced that a major oil and gas contractor company, Lamprell, will implement one of Epicor’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions. Lamprell will use the Epicor 9 next-generation ERP solution.
Lamprell was in great need of an upgrade from its original system, which includes applications for manufacturing, warehousing, procurement and financial operations. The old system made it difficult for Lamprell employees to stay up to date on the latest business activity within the company, thereby making business processes slower and general activity less productive. The Epicor ERP system will be implemented throughout the entire Lamprell organization. Lamprell has many different departments, companies and facilities. The oil and gas company even has international locations, including Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
Lamprell hopes to use Epicor’s innovative solution to gain more visibility within the company. The ERP solution is sure to help with planning and increasing the efficiency of internal business processes. It will also aid Lamprell employees with decision making and reporting. Initially, 150 Lamprell employees will use Epicor’s ERP system. Then, as time goes on, over 300 users will start using the enterprise resource planning solution.
The Group Commercial Manager of Lamprell, Dan Wibberley, commented. He said, “Because we use a mixture of applications it is currently difficult and time consuming to prepare accurate business reports, with data often being out-of-date by the time the report is finished. We need access to live and up-to-date business data from across the entire operations in order to make effective business management decisions. Running a mixture of products does not support a growing international business and we knew we needed an ERP solution to improve data visibility and control.â€
Overall, the Epicor ERP solution is sure to drastically help Lamprell save time and money. The new system will help the employees achieve things faster and in a productive manner. Lamprell was in great need of a system update so the Epicor 9 solution is just what it needed.
